Ready to level up your Silk Skills?

In this intermediate silks class, we’ll build upon the foundations of strength, technique, and flexibility, introducing more complex wraps, inversions, and dynamic sequences. You’ll refine your skills with drops, rolls, and challenging transitions while continuing to enhance your body awareness in the air. This class emphasizes creativity, control, and safety as you explore new movements and expand your repertoire.

Pre-reqs include:

  1. Standard and Russian Climb – from floor to top and back both sides without touching ground in between
  2. Inversions in the air – ability to straddle invert in the air without assistance.
  3. Foot Locks (Single and Double) – applying foot locks while in the air.
  4. Hip Key – Executing hip keys both from the ground and mid-air.
  5. Figure 8 Foot Lock – Tying and using this wrap for stability in tricks and transitions.
  6. Cross-back Straddle – Performing this move with controlled form and understanding the wrap exit
  7. S-Lock (Catcher's) Hang – Knowing how to enter and exit this move safely.
  8. Star Drop Preparation – Understanding the wrapping required for drops and being comfortable with drop progressions.
  9. Basic Wrap Transitions – Moving between different wraps with confidence and fluidity.
  10. Single Foot Hang – Having the strength and technique to hold in a single-foot wrap.
