Learn To Flow on Lyra

This class is perfect for fitness enthusiasts or aerialists with some experience on other apparatus' like silks, sling or pole. Lyra, also known as the aerial hoop, is a circular steel apparatus. It's similar to pole, with the addition of suspension in the air.

We’ll focus on the basics, including mounting the hoop, proper body alignment, spinning and simple yet stunning poses. We’ll guide you through foundational techniques that will set you up for success as you progress in your aerial practice

To ensure you’re well-prepared and comfortable in the air, we highly recommend taking a beginner silks class before joining Lyra. The skills you’ll develop on the silks—such as grip strength, body awareness, and aerial vocabulary—will be invaluable as you transition to the hoop.

What You'll Learn:

  • Mounting the hoop with proper form
  • Building strength and endurance through static holds and spins
  • Basic poses and transitions to develop foundational skills
  • Creating beautiful shapes using balance and flexibility
  • Learning mini sequences to enhance flow and fluidity
  • Exploring dynamic movements like beats and conditioning drills
  • And so much more!
